Concordia Technology Solutions is the technology division of Concordia Publishing House, a not-for-profit church-based organization that has been serving the needs of churches since 1869. It is because of this and the fact that so many of our employees also serve in various roles in their churches that we can understand the unique and changing technology needs of God’s people.
Concordia Technology Solutions has a long history of serving the technology needs of churches. In the 1980s our customers needed ways to reduce time spent on tracking members and financial information. Our first DOS-based software package was released. As technology expanded combined with the release of the Windows® operating system, Shepherd’s Staff® version 1.0 was introduced in 1994. As the needs of our customers have grown, so has Shepherd’s Staff; it is now one of the most widely used Church Management Software programs with features tailored to many different denominations, including Lutheran, United Methodist, Catholic, Assembly of God, and Baptist. In 2004, we released MemberConnect, a powerful yet easy-to-use Web-based ministry communication and coordination tool that can help any church create a Web ministry. By providing industry-leading customer service and support more than 7,000 churches are using our products, and that number continues to grow.
Throughout our history CPH has continually made use of technological advances. From telephones in the 1880s to computers in the 1960s, and today’s unique Web-based church communication tool, MemberConnect, Concordia Technology Solutions helps God’s people share the Gospel around the world.
